Deming Photos!

After two days in Deming I have lots of pics! We are all beat. J got sick as soon as we pulled into the church parking lot. He still is fighting a stomach something.
Here's a sample of what happened there. 26 people got saved! We had three concerts. Rap at the high school. Us at McDonald's. Sat we had both groups at the courthouse park. Many people got touched. We met some of the Deming folks Friday night too.

I found this drinking fountain interesting.
J & his best friend I. Couldn't get a non-goofy photo out of these guys! Yes, this is M Luna! He rapped with his dad! He has a great voice!

Our teens witnessing to the Deming teens at the HS.

A. Luna with baby Luna! And a new convert witnessing!

Fred praying with a lady in the McDonald's bathroom!

C & W.

Mr. Mike & R witnessing. This guy's 80! Saved. Sweet fellowship with God's people.

Me, witnessing. This lady later got saved! C Luna next to me. (I didn't realize how many Luna's are in our photos!)

C, Corina and Glenda (new convert) witnessing!

I LOVE this picture! If you only knew who these two teenage boys (young men), praying with the other boys, were before they got saved! God is awesome!

New convert witnessing!
Jamie...awesome testimony!

"Brother" Ben...alter call...this guy stayed for almost the whole concert (about 2 hours).

Us. I am surprised I have a smile on. I was totally exhausted.

This ended it all!

Anne, I can email you more photos of folks if you'd like.

The Sun Will Come out Tomorrow...

They say a picture says a thousand words. Well, here's one for ya. I got all three of these guys in one photo, looking at the camera, smiling!!! I thought the older they get the easier it would be to take their picture...no way! We went to Cloudcroft last Sat to outreach for the concert tomorrow (more on that later). It was a nice day, lots of pretty place to take photos. But they picked these stumps by the the street. I wasn't about to chance moving around to get a better angle...they might just change their minds! Notice the dog in the background? It followed us for awhile. Even went up the stairs to some of the houses. Oh, R is holding the concert flyer. And I think C & J switched roles for a few moments! On a side note, sometimes I think, "are these our kids?" They are growing up so fast.

Onto the concert/weather. Here at our home the weather has been fairly nice. This week has been a bit cooler-60's. Windy, windy, sunny... We went to sleep with the howling wind, things blowing over, etc. It rained while we all slept. The Mtns. (were we are to have the outreach) got a good amount of snow. I know tomorrow it could all be gone and it be a nice day there. But please pray for our fingers. Good thing the Cloudcroft folks are used to this type of weather and hopefully it won't keep them from coming out.

Second Video

This one's not as good. This is the one where R lost his sound...

Band Video

I was finally able to get some band footage on here! I will post more later, maybe! heehee! It takes forever to load!

For those of you who don't know about our band, let me fill you in a bit. We are a church band. We are Fair Warning. My husband sings and plays the guitar. I play the bass. What we play is a mix of pop punk, punk, alt. rock, if you will. We take secular songs and change the words. We use it as a form of outreach to tell people about Jesus.

This is the better of the two videos from last night. The other was a cool song, but R lost his sound so he couldn't play which threw his singing off some.

Just Me Rambling

Ahhh...Friday. I am so glad too. Thursdays for me are a drag. I don't know why. I have a hard time getting motivated on Thurs. So, on Fridays I usually feel refreshed.
We got done with school early today. If the kids keep up the pace in math, they'll be done with the new curriculum by the end of school! IF they keep at this pace they will both finish math a few years early! If not, it's okay too.
Today we are going to try to go to the park for homeschool basketball. We will probably walk. We have walked at least two hours this week. And today will make it three. Having one vehicle is good for the body! Bad for the hair! Haha!
J has a bit of a cold. But he's still as talkative as ever.
This weekend our band has an acoustic show at the coffee house. It's the last concert with out me. Since, they went acoustic I haven't played with them. Honestly, I got lazy and didn't practice! So, I've been getting it back into gear. We have a concert coming up in a month.
Our president project keeps getting bigger. The kids and I really enjoy learning about the presidents. And since it's "free" learning (not from a cirriculum) I think they like that too. So what started out as just casually reading a book about presidents, to 44 colored presidents in our dining room, is becoming a book we're putting together. We took the colored pages and pasted them onto construction paper. We will add facts about them as we go. J especially likes the presidents. He talks about them often. I want to put together more books like this...composers, artist, etc.
I should stop rambling now! Have a great day!

Catching up

Ahhh...the dishes are done, bed is made, bathroom cleaned, laundry going, kids doing history...it's almost lunch. I love it when things get done and the day goes smooth. I wanted take this time a catch up on my blogs.

The kids & I went on a Field Trip/PE last Friday to the zoo. We walked there is was just so nice out. I have some pics on the HS blog. The bench is from the zoo, by the playground. If you look really close you can see J beyond the tree. I have been catching the kids in my photos more!

Today we are going to go on a "Nature Walk" to the "lake" on the base. We are going to observe the bird life there. Take notes, pics, etc.

We are going to have band practice tonight. Outreach tomorrow, outreach Sat. & play prac. Sat. We perform Feb. 7Th!! Can't wait.

I have to tell you about a miracle that happened. Last Wed. I had to get a few groceries, milk, bread, etc. I had used all of out food $ already and was going to get it from another envelope. When I went to pay there was $30 in my wallet!!!! The money wasn't there before...R didn't put it there. I know I spent what was left in my wallet. Isn't God good!! It was more than I needed too!

I have also just recently taken the plunge into scrap designing! Right now all of the layouts that I make are with other people's kits. Like going to the store and buying papers, etc for scrap booking only doing it digitally. I have been wanting to learn how to design for awhile. I have all of these ideas in my head. I have already learned a few things and I'm REALLY excited about it!

I also need to get to changing the words for new songs for our band.

Well, I have to go. Have a good day!
