Tools for Tuesday

Aww...this morning the kids are working quietly on their schoolwork. So I am taking the time to spring clean our computer. I don't know about you but, if I don't keep up on the emails, etc. in inbox can get very big. So I have gone through the emails and deleted a LOT of them. I am currently going through my files where I keep our photos, my scrapping stuff. I am organizing those as well. Then sending them to our EHD. I'd hate to lose these!

So, my tip for today...clean out your computer...free up some of the space!

Tools for Tuesday

Tuesday is the day I share the products we use or tips that we love to make life easier.

Today, I want to tell you about a few hair products I/we use.

My hair gets really dry. I wash and dry it daily, so that doesn't help.

Once a week I use CPR. I try to focus on putting it on the ends of my hair. My hair dresser told me to also put my hair in a "cap" for 10-15 min. I usually skip the cap. It really makes a difference. The first day my hair is a bit "oily" if you will.
You can get it at SallyBeauty.com for $6.99.

The next is my daily conditioner. I use L'oreal Vive Pro for dry and damaged hair. I have tried other more expensive, same priced, etc conditioners and this is the best that I have found. It does the trick. Here's the write up on it. Specially formulated to add moisture, Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Moisturizing Conditioner by L'Oréal incorporates an omega-moisture complex to infuse hair with glossy shine. Enriched with Omega 3 and 6, royal jelly and olive oil, this shampoo penetrates each strand for lasting moisturizing protection. (13 fl. Oz.) I get mine at WalMart for under $3.00.

We also use a clarifying shampoo once a week. Usually Suave, but if there's another on sale, we get that. The clarifying shampoo works wonders for getting the old build up, etc. out. For a time, C had a hard time getting a certain part of her hair cleaned. She has really thick hair. Since she uses the clarifying shampoo she has had no problems.
Hope this helps. I know sometimes the best things I have learned was from word of mouth.
Have a great day.

Since this is the new year, I wanted to tell you what I do with our calendar to help me stay organized. If you're like me you are very busy with the kids' school, events, appointments, b-days, on & on. It seemed like I would write everything down, yet still miss stuff. So, for the past couple of years this is my secret and it really helps.

*First, keep your calendar where you and everyone can see at a glance. No, you won't look like Better Homes & garden.

*Second, the spaces in your date boxes should be big enough for more than one important event.

*Third, I like color. Everything has it's own color. Birthdays, Ann are red. School in green. Church events - blue. Appt. - orange. Dates w/friends etc. - purple. Other - brown.

It really helps me remember, even though we write on our chalkboard and erase board too.

Some of my Close "Friends"

I have had a pretty bad cold since Thursday evening. And these products along with cold medicine and LOTS of hot liquids have been my steady "companions".

Whoever thought to put lotion into the tissues is a God send!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you! My nose thanks you too!! For my nose...without this Santa could put antlers on me to take Rudolph'a place!! LOL!

These are soo good! Michele you really need to try these!

That's all for today. Hope you won't be needing any of these anytime soon.

Tools For Tuesday

I have told you that we had to get a new coffee pot a little while ago. Well, here's what we got! Our Mr. Coffee is AWESOME! Here's what we love about it.
*The coffee is filter gives it a really good (for lack of a better word) taste that we noticed with the very first sip.
*The coffee stays hot for at least two hours!! Which dh really loves.
*You can set it for regular or strong brew. The regular brew is already stronger because of the filtration.
*It beeps when it's done. (the little things)
*It stays on for two hours then shuts off.
*It looks classy!
*When you put the pot in, it just slide right in. You don't have to push it to get it in! ( I love this feature.)
*It feels sturdy.
*****Note, this is similar to ours, we did not pay that much either.******
Have a great day!
