Crazy Busy

When life goes at such a pace, you really enjoy the moment when you can sit for a minute before the ride starts again.

Here's a brief run done of our lives right now.
We (the church) is getting ready for our 30 ann. And lots of our people are coming back for that. We have been practing for special music for about a month. Tonight will be our last practice.
There has been LOTS of behind the scene prep that has been going on.
Sat. a bunch of the church folks got together at the church and touched up, fixed up the church pretty much all day. I really felt my age after 8 hours of physical labor! The kids did really good! Worked hard!
Homeschool has been going good. Everyone's brains worked today! Which is always helpful! C is going through math like nothing. We have science experiments at least 3 times a week more like 4. Plus all of the other subjects.
R is down at the church right now, song service practice.
C has been down there since 4:30. She's helping out in the children's church for the harvester's.
Cleaning the house for our company! Can't wait!
I have a new kit coming out this Friday! Can't wait!
Harvesters is going to be jam packed, but fun.
R has been working like crazy!
Our dog had fleas! YUCK!
I know I am forgetting something. But, I need to get going to band practice!

Photo Shoot

Both kids went to Youth last night. So R & I had a totally impromptu photo shoot, by us and then played Frisbee at a park. Here are some of the shots!

Just a few things to share with you guys. I wanted to share some of the books that I've read here lately. This one's the only one that I have a photo of, at the moment. It's a juvenile historical fiction about Abraham and Sarah (Sally) Lincoln's life. It's one of those HF that tell you enough detail that you know a bit more, but also interesting enough so that you want to read more about the topic.

Been Busy

I have been busy as usual. Running around, doing photo boards for church, the Design Star contest is still going, life. I wanted to show you some of the latest LO's that I've made. These two are just silly... J took these himself. Had to clean up the nose a bit! Haha!

This was a blurry photo of C that I just loved. She is so beautiful!

This is my brother's son, for those who don't know. I miss him badly!!! This Thanksgiving he ran right up to me and gave me a big old hug. He's sit down with me too and just smile with those eyes!

And last but not least, Bea. She comes up many times in our conversations. We have so many good memories!

Excitement and a Deal

What a few days! I'm going to work backwards from today to a few days ago.

I go to an online local Yard Sale site where people can sell/but items here locally. There's one item for free that I was like "What!?" Someone actually put a piece of paper up for free!! Just a plain old piece of paper. Someone claimed it! I know people joke around, but a piece of paper!

Today is the day that we (at ScrapMatters) show off our latest kit. Round four of the contest we had to make a full kit. So in a few hours I'll be posting that. I don't know exactly when they'll pick the winner/s. I hope soon.

Also, today I cleaned the carpets and R is going through his stuff in the garage! Do you want to come over?? heehee It is WINDY once again! We've had winds up to 60 mph this week. You can't see the mtns. because of the dust. Yuck!

Thursday night, around midnight police & ambulance came around our corner, down our street. One of our neighbors' houses. It worried me because they have a newborn and two other kids. One of whom is J's age. More on the boy later. The next day, we went over to see what happened. The newborn was choking on milk and couldn't breath. She is okay and the mom was touched that we came by.

This family has been on out hearts a lot lately. The son is the neighborhood pain. Sorry, but he is. He was nice for awhile at first, then, we think out of jealousy, turned against J. He would literally ride by our house and make mean faces, talk about R and J, saying awful things. J even hit him once because of the stuff he'd say. He is not the most innocent kid either. The family speaks broken English, and are a different religion then us. None of these we have a problem with. When the mom was over due with her baby, I really began to pray for her and the family. J put in a prayer request for them too. I tell you something has changed in the boy. He bought J an ice cream from the ice cream truck. He is nice now. We never had a problem with the family, just the boy. So when we saw the ambulance there, we were really concerned.

Oh, also this week C found these cool shoes at the thrift store. R had always liked Chuck Taylor's (the old style high tops). He was just talking about them. She got some black, white and pink ones for under $4! Too cute. The guys are both jealous! Here's LO I made of them!

I'm going to make this a quick post. Yesterday R, the kids and I went to the Holocaust Museum. It was really sobering. I made this LO with one of the photos. Credits or to leave comment ;)
This photo was at the end, on one of the walls. The wall had names and pictures of soldiers who help liberate the people in the camps. There were many from El Paso.

Tonight we have a concert at the coffee shop. We may get rain. But it is clearing up. Gotta run. Have a great day!

I wanted to show you some of my latest layouts.
First, I feel human toady! I've had the stomach flu for a couple of days. So today is catch up! The kids were a real blessing. They helped clean a bit and did their school work by themselves! I pretty much was on the couch or in bed. We are having overcast days and I LOVE it. I'd love it more if it would rain. Maybe Sat. they say!

Anyway, this LO, C took the photo. R said he and J were matching and he calls it boys in berry. I was wearing a pink shirt. Here's our niece awhile ago at my dad's. Oma had goggles for all of the little kids.

I wanted to do this for my grandma.

Funny Photo...beautiful kit. When I upload the photos on our camera I find surprises from the kids most of the time. This was one of them.

Just wanted to Say Hello

Not feeling too good, and I really don't have much to tell you about. However, I did want to share this with you. I fellow scrapper asked me for my testimony. I got inspried to make it into a layout (LO). Good night.

God's Grace

I made this the day after she got work on her toe. C is growing into such a beautiful lady that I am humbled by God's grace on our lives. To know that you aren't a perfect parent and know the mistakes you've made and to have a daughter like her, is simply God's grace.
